For those who have Windows set up securely, this means entering a password every time you run the program. However, if you run the PROGRAM as administrator, then it should be registered. Because of this, when the user runs the program, it will appear as unregistered still. By running as admin, the activation gets written to the registry of the admin account and not the standard user account. In fact, there needs to be a way to NOT run activate.exe as the administrator but as a standard user. I have never understood why this tip is given- maybe it was necessary for an older OS? You shouldn't have to run activate.exe as admin, as UAC will kick in and automatically elevate it to admin for you, and therein has always been the problem with activate.exe. We only have a few hours to "get with the programme" - or else uninstall it. It LOOKS like a good programme, which should be very useful - but there is no point in claiming the programme is free, when you are not given the way to make it work for more than the normal three days I imagine is given on Apowersoft's website. Since it seems other people have had the same problem, why don't GOTD come up with a fix, or at least a comment on what they are doing about it?

Right now the programme is STILL a trial version. Even when that was resolved, it still wouldn't go all the way to a properly registered programme - a frustrating waste of time. Several times, uncompressing the zip file, it couldn't get the last one percent, so there was an error message. I have downloaded and installed it okay, but after FIVE different attempts to "Activate" the programme, it stubbornly refuses to do so - whichever way I attempt to launch the Activate.exe, even copying it to DOS and launching it from there.
